Why I Choose Discipline, Vision, and Love

Dedicated to my children, who sometimes don’t understand why I work so many nights

Dear kids, My love,

I know you sometimes wonder why I wake up before the sun to go to the gym, why I stay up late working, or why I push myself to keep learning—even when I don’t have to. And I know you might feel it’s unfair when I ask you to work a little harder in school, especially when you see your friends taking it easier and still doing just fine.

But I want you to know something: I don’t do all of this out of pressure. I do it because I believe in what’s possible.

I don’t do all of this out of pressure. I do it because I believe in what’s possible.

Most people don’t see it, but sacrifice doesn’t hurt when there’s purpose behind it.

  • While some are sleeping, others are building.

  • While some are distracted, others are preparing.

  • While some give up, others push forward.

This path isn’t always visible or popular—but it’s powerful. And it’s not just for grown-ups—it’s for you too.

If you’re in advanced classes, don’t compare yourselves to others who aren’t. Your journey is different. The goal isn’t to be better than someone else, it’s to be better than who you were yesterday.

The goal isn’t to be better than someone else, it’s to be better than who you were yesterday.

Waking up early. Studying when it's hard. Trying again when it gets tough. These small decisions build the life you want, one step at a time.

And yes, the journey isn’t easy.

But it’s not about how hard the path feels—it’s about the moment you look back and realize that what once felt impossible… you made it happen.

That sense of pride, that feeling of accomplishment, is priceless—because you’ll be living what others only dream of. Not because you were lucky, but because you showed up with purpose and determination. And yes, again and again.

Please, always remember this: No matter what path you choose, I will always be here for you. Not just because I’m your dad. But because I truly, deeply love you.

Fight for what matters. Fight for your dreams. Be ready to adapt to changes but, never quit—you’re stronger than you think. Keep giving back to others!

With all my love, and always believing in you,

Dad (Pablo Junco)
